How to get alerts with IFTTT

##What is IFTTT?
IFTTT stands for IF This Then That, and is a free service that can monitor a topic, Category, or even a Tag on ViggleRumors and can send an alert to your phone, an email, or do pretty much anything you want.

##How do I use it?
We’ve created a couple of “recipes” that you can use to alert you for various events on vigglerumors.

All you need to do to use one of them is click the big blue Add button.

You’ll then be asked to login or create a free IFTTT account.

Q: What’s the difference between an SMS and an IF Notification?
A: An SMS notification will be sent directly to your phone as a text message (standard text messaging rates may apply depending on your plan) whereas the IF Notifications will be sent as a push notification to the IF app which is available on the App store and Google Play Store.

Q: Are the notifications free?
A: Yes, they are free, however, your carrier may still charge you a fee to receive SMS text messages if you’re not on an unlimited plan.

Q: How do I stop getting alerts?
A: You can turn off individual recipes or delete them at any time on your IFTTT account.

Q: Can vigglerumors see my phone number or other details from IFTTT?
A: No, IFTTT is a separate website, and we don’t have access to any of your personal info on IFTTT.

Q: How do I make my own alerts or custom recipes?
A: Click here to learn how to create custom alerts for vigglerumors.
